Description

Ironing is not everyone’s favourite household task, but having a good steam station can help you to finish at least two times faster. The Tristar ST-8917 Steam Station is an extra powerful iron with 3.5 Bar pressure and a refillable 1.5 litre water tank. Thanks to the 2200 Watt power, the steam iron heats up quickly and you can set the temperature with the stepless adjustable thermostat.

Continuous steam pressure
The Tristar ST-8917 Steam Station emits a continuous steam pressure of 40 g/min so you can easily unwrinkle your clothes and even remove those stubborn creases. The fixed water reservoir has a volume of 1.5 litre, enough to finish ironing an entire load of laundry.

Durable, non-stick soleplate for added convenience
The Tristar Steam Station heats up quickly and with the stepless adjustable thermostat, you can select the optimal temperature for the clothing item you want to iron. Thanks to the 1.9 metre long power cord, you have a long reach and the iron can also be used to steam vertically to freshen up delicate clothes.

Self-cleaning and anti-drip
The greatest enemy of all irons is limescale. All water contains very small limescale particles which can attach to the steam iron. The Tristar ST-8917 Steam Station has a special anti-scale and self-cleaning function to avoid clogging by limescale. This makes the steam iron very durable.

Product FAQ
No, this could potentially affect the proper functioning of the iron.
Use only tap water in your steam iron. If the water is very hard, we advise you to mix the tap water with half distilled or demineralised water. Do not use scented ironing water (including Vaporesse!) in the steam iron. Ideally, empty the water reservoir after every ironing session.
You can clean the sole plate as follows:

1)Plug the iron into the wall socket and set the thermostat button to “minimum”.
2)Remove the plug from the wall socket as soon as the light has switched off.
3)You can then use a plastic scouring pad to clean the still tepid sole plate.
4)You can do this with the green (plastic) abrasive side. Moisten the sponge with plain tap water. Never use cleaning or descaling agents.
Because the iron is new, it takes a while for the water to flow from the water tank via the pump to the steam chamber. If necessary, you can press the steam button several times at intervals to activate the steam.
Yes, for your safety irons should always be connected to a grounded outlet.
There's nothing wrong with your iron. This is the normal operation of the thermostat. It works to keep the temperature constant, and therefore switches on and off again.
Check to see whether the thermostat setting matches the ironing instructions in your clothes. If the sole plate is too hot, it will remain stuck to the ironed clothes. Starch may also cause it to stick. It is preferable to spray the starch on the rear of the clothes to be ironed.
