Chicken Waffle



Ingredients


For the waffles:

  • 250 grams of flour

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 eggs

  • 30 grams of sugar

  • 2.5 tsp baking powder

  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

  • 50 grams of melted butter

  • 250 ml milk


For the chicken:

  • 200 grams of chicken thigh strips

  • 75 grams of flour

  • 50 ml buttermilk

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 onion

  • 1 spring onion

  • 1 egg

  • 5 tablespoons breadcrumbs

  • Pepper and salt

  • Parsley




Preparation method



Mix the flour, baking powder, egg yolks, sugar, vanilla extract, salt and milk in a bowl until smooth. Later, add the melted butter to the mix. In another bowl, mix the egg whites and add to the waffle batter.

Warm up the greased waffle iron. Spoon some waffle batter on the iron and bake the waffle for 5 minutes until golden brown.

Preheat the crispy fryer to 180 degrees. Cut the spring onion and the onion into small pieces and mix them with the garlic, pepper and salt through the breadcrumbs and keep this in a bowl. Fill a bowl with buttermilk. Fill a second bowl with flour and fill a third bowl with beaten egg. Dip the chicken pieces in the first, second and third dish and then roll them in the breadcrumbs. Place the chicken pieces in a bowl in the crispy fryer and bake them at 180 degrees for 19 minutes.

Serve chicken pieces on the warm wafer and garnish with salt, pepper and parsley.
